I am a second-generation immigrant, Mexican American, currently studying Library and Information Science at the University of Southern Mississippi. I have lived in Brooklyn, New York for most of my life and reside in a small community of Latin American and Asian immigrants. I have served in non-profit organizations within my local community and in the U.S. military. My goal is to pursue a career in librarianship and emulate leaders such as Elizabeth "Betita" Martínez.
